Should Apple customers expect the company’s long-awaited AirPower wireless charging mat anytime soon? According to the latest iOS 12.2 beta, it may be coming soon.
According to 9to5Mac, code within iOS 12.2 beta 6 has suggested an AirPower launch may be imminent:
As per Guilherme Rambo, who writes in iOS 12.2 beta 6, “we noticed it includes significant changes to the component responsible for wireless charging, including the code responsible for identifying that two devices are charging on the same mat.”
“These changes strongly suggest Apple is getting ready to finally ship AirPower to consumers,” concludes Rambo.
Back in January, reports claimed AirPower production had started and may launch this year. AirPower will charge three devices at the same time, such as an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods 2, as noted by Apple previously.
What do you think? Is AirPower coming soon?
