Bell, along with its TV subsidiary Super Ecran and streaming service Crave, is set to host private viewing events at Cineplex theatres across Canada for the finale episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

Customers subscribed to Crave and HBO, whether directly or through a cable TV provider (participating providers include Bell, Bell Aliant, Bell MTS, Telus, Rogers, and SaskTel, as per the Cineplex website), will be emailed two voucher codes, which can then redeemed on a first-come, first-served basis on the Cineplex website. Bell, Bell Aliant, Bell MTS, Telus, Rogers, and SaskTel.

The free event gets better, as snacks and drink are included, with the event saying “Concessions including a bottled pop, regular popcorn, and candy will be available in your auditorium, on us. No need to stop at the concessions stand!” This will consist of a regular sized popcorn, pop, and candy per person (that’s like a $50 value given concession prices nowadays).

These emailed voucher codes are only valid while ticket quantities last and expire on May 12, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET/ 8:59 pm PT.

According to RFD, customers of Rogers, Telus and Bell should be getting emailed vouchers as of today, May 2, 2019.

How to claim your tickets? According to the event instructions:

  1. Choose the theatre location indicated in your email from Bell from the drop down (NOTE: Screenings at cinema Cineplex Odeon Quartier Latin will be English with French subtitles)
  2. Login with your Cineplex Connect account information, or create an account if you do not already have one
  3. Enter the promo code for access to the reserved theatres as indicated in the email from Bell (Example: CPX2019-GOTFINALEP)

  5. Your tickets will be sent to the email address associated with your Cineplex Connect account

Cities participating in this event at Cineplex include Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. No word yet on other cities at this point in time.

According to the event details, the doors will open at 8:00 pm ET, with a pre-show at 8:30pm ET and final episode starting at 9:00 pm ET.

There’s no word whether the finale will be streamed or if theatres will have the master copy of the final episode to show on the big screen. During the live Crave stream of episode three last Sunday, customers complained of pixelation and artifacts on an unusually dark episode, making matters worse.

Let us know if you receive an email from your cable TV provider for this Game of Thrones finale viewing event.

Update May 2, 8:10 am PDT: Cineplex reached out to iPhone in Canada to clarify event details are still being finalized, so the information above may change.
