Looks like Big 3 flanker brands are starting to have some loyalty offers to counter the rise of ‘unlimited’ data plans from Rogers and similar offerings from Telus and Koodo.
According to some users on RFD, calling into Virgin Mobile’s loyalty department can net you a $56 per month plan with 10GB of data, to go with unlimited Canada-wide calling, global SMS/MMS, voicemail, caller ID and call waiting. Data overages for this $56/10GB BYOD plan are billed at $10/100MB.
If you’re an existing Virgin mobile customer, it may be worth your time to call in and ask to talk to the loyalty (also known as retentions) department and ask for this $56/10GB offer, which is priced lower than the coveted $60/10GB holiday plan. Let us know if you are able to get it.
