Koodo Offering $75/15GB Plan to Some Customers with Tab Medium Upgrades

There currently appears to be a cellphone ‘war’ in Canada, started by Rogers with their Infinite plans and their ‘unlimited’ shared data, which offers full speed LTE, then throttled at 256 kbps once your data bucket is used up.

Bell this morning essentially copied Rogers with their own ‘unlimited’ plans, a promo offering also starting at $75/10GB, with throttled data afterwards.

As for Telus, they’re going their own route by offering a BYOD $75/15GB plan, with regular overages billed at $10/100MB. Both temporary promos from Bell and Telus do not allow for shared data, like the Rogers Infinite plans.

Now, we may be starting to see Big 3 flanker brands jump onto the bandwagon, as Telus-owned Koodo has started notifying some customers of an offer for the $75/15GB plan.

According to iPhone in Canada reader Luke, he says Koodo sent him the following message when he logged into his account: “Hey Luke, great news! Get a $75 15GB rate plan when you upgrade to select phones with Tab Medium. Offer expires soon! Conditions apply.”

The Bell offer expires on June 30 while the Telus offer expires on July 2, 2019.

If you’re a Koodo customer, you may want to login to your account online and see if any promos such as the $75/15GB plan is being offered to you.

Now we wait for Fido and Virgin to match in 3…2…1…
