Can’t Get Apple TV+ Free Year Offer? Try This Method
Apple’s much-awaited Apple TV+ streaming video service debuted earlier this week for $5.99 CAD per month. Apple says users who have purchased a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, or iPod after September 10th, are eligible to get one year of the service valued at $71.88 CAD for free.
However, if you believe you are eligible but you have not been able to redeem the free year offer, you can try an alternative method shared by a Redditor.
“Before this, I have tried using tv.apple.com via desktop, TV app on iPhone/Mac, and it would refuse to give me the 1-year offer. I purchased a 2019 MBA mid-October.”
Simply follow these steps:
- Contact Apple iTunes support.
- Mention your MacOS/iOS version, proof of purchase, date of purchase, and exact location/name of the store from where you have made the purchase.
- Once your info has been verified, they will generate a unique 1-year offer code for you to redeem in the iTunes/App Store.
Note that the code redemption confirmation might show that you redeemed a 1-week trial, but the subscription price will say it doesn’t start until Nov. 2020.
