Along with iPad support, the 3.0 update brings some quality of life improvements to users. The ability to forwarding messages between threads is a new feature that has been included. The new iPad UI supports a vertical layout, plus a horizontal layout when your device is in landscape mode.

Additionally, Signal users are now able to edit videos using a trimming tool to shorten clips into highlights before sending them. Tapping on a contact’s avatar will allow you to quickly call or message them, making it easier to get in touch with anyone on your contact list.

Signal also made use of volunteer translators to help implement new languages, which include support for Bangla, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Ukrainian, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
