Rogers Extends Store Closures Until April 14 Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Earlier this month, Rogers announced its retail stores (including Fido and Chatr) would be temporarily closing until March 31, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an update this morning, Rogers says it has now extended the closures to April 14, 2020.

“In light of this rapidly evolving public health situation, we’ve decided to extend our temporary store closures until April 14 for the safety and well-being of our customers and employees,” said the company.

While the majority of locations remain closed, there are still 88 Rogers locations nationwide still open, with reduced operating hours to serve customers needing ‘critical services’, such as phone repair and loaner phones; critical device activation; SIM card swap and replacements; modem and cable box swaps; and remote controls for Ignite TV.

Earlier this week, Rogers detailed how technicians would no longer be entering customer homes due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
