For BMO Mobile Banking customers on iPhone, there’s now a feature to let you order a replacement credit card directly within the app.
According to BMO, you can now “replace a damaged credit card”, without the need to contact customer service or visiting a branch.
“Is your credit card a little banged up? Not to worry. We can send you a shiny new one in a few business days. Select your account then hit the “Manage Card” icon to set it up,” says the update description.
Back in May, BMO Mobile Banking gained the ability to reset your credit card PIN in the app, again reducing the need to visit a branch. Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, big banks are emphasizing digital banking as customers avoid branches, which have limited business hours.
According to J.D. Power’s recent 2020 Canada Banking Mobile App Satisfaction Study, BMO ranked in third place, tied with the industry average and below Scotiabank in second and CIBC in first place.
