Last week, we told you about Bell offering a ‘winback’ bring your own device plan of $55/20GB, targeting former customers in a bid to win back their business.
Now, it appears Bell’s flanker brand Virgin Mobile is also trying to lure back old customers with the same plan.
“You. Us. Let’s make it a comeback,” reads an email sent out by Virgin Mobile. “A value-packed plan, Member Benefits, and the best customer service in Canada—if you’re looking, we’ve got it,” explains the email shared on RFD.
Another RFD user noted their ‘winback’ offer was in the form of a $45/6GB plan.
The $55 per month plan includes 20GB of data and available for bring your own device, plus a “bonus” means there’s no connection fee. The plan includes unlimited Canada-wide talk, text and picture messaging.
These sweetheart ‘winback’ plans are wireless carrier attempts to lure former customers back to the company. Currently, the Virgin Mobile website does not advertise a 20GB plan. The closest plan is $75 for 15GB of data.
Virgin Mobile says the targeted offer ends on September 16, 2020.
