Halifax-based Eastlink has announced it has launched TiVo for its television customers, bringing a new “transformative TV viewing experience.”

TiVo is a digital video recorder service that first debuted in 1999 and will let Eastlink customers manage TV recordings, while also view streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video and more. It comes with a voice remote and TiVo also offers personalized recommendations based on user viewing habits.

“We are so excited about the launch of our new TV experience,” said Deborah Shaffner, CEO Eastlink, in a statement. “While these past several months have been challenging for so many of us, they have also made clear the value of a simplified TV experience that makes it easy to find what you want to watch from literally thousands of options. We are confident that this is something our customers are going to love.”

TiVo also offers a Remote Finder button, explains Eastlink, allowing TV customers to easily find a lost remote.

“Eastlink offers a great service to its customers and we’re pleased to have been selected to enhance this further by sharing the TiVo’s award winning user experience with Eastlink’s audience,” said Matt Milne, chief revenue officer, TiVo.

TV customers can also watch TiVo on the go with the Eastlink TiVo app for iOS and Android.
