Spotify’s New Music Charts Feature Expands to Canada and Beyond

Last month, Spotify rolled out its new set of top music charts in the U.S., including a look at the top albums of the week, tracked from Friday through Thursday, and today, the music streaming giant is expanding these music charts to Canada and beyond.

Starting November 23, Spotify’s music charts are expanding globally in 46 new markets and in-app, allowing fans and artists across the globe to better share and enjoy pivotal music moments.

Spotify’s weekly music charts provide a definitive snapshot of what music is having the most local global impact, from new album releases to new hit singles.

This expansion of Spotify’s new music charts offering includes:

  • The Weekly Top 50 – will celebrate the biggest album and songs in the world each Monday in 46 new markets including: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Finland, Germany, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, US & Vietnam
  • Localized languages – The charts in-app will be localized in each primary language
  • One Stop Destination –  We’ve brought music and podcasts together in our Charts Hub. Within the Spotify app, simply search “Charts” to view.

Spotify weekly charts will be available in Canada in-app on iOS and Android.
