Apple Fitness+ May Be Launching Soon as Promotions Begin Building Up

Apple’s Fitness+ subscription may be launching imminently as promotions for the service have begun popping up online more regularly.

The Fitness+ subscription was announced during Apple’s ‘Time Flies’ event earlier this summer. While a concrete date was not given for the launch, Apple did indicate that the service would be ready by the end of 2020. In a report from MacRumors, that date may be right around the corner as promotions for the service are surfacing.

Advertisements and social media posts from fitness instructors have been filtering online on various platforms. A Best Buy promotion was spotted, advertising a six-month free subscription to Apple Fitness+ with the purchase of an Apple Watch.

Various fitness instructors have taken to Instagram to promote Apple Fitness+. Josh Crosby, for instance, discussed his fitness background before talking about his excitement for the launch. He closes out his post by saying: “Get ready to join me on the journey!” Dustin Brown posted a similar photo from his time on set. As with Crosby, Brown included the #CloseYourRings hashtag and tagged the official Apple Fitness+ Instagram account.

When Apple announced the service, the company explained that Apple Fitness+ would sync to a user’s Apple Watch and iPhone throughout the workout. Progress during each fitness session can then be seen on screen during the duration of the program. Apple also announced the various workouts including cycling, dance, core, and others.

Apple Fitness+ will cost $12.99 CAD per month or $99.99 CAD a year. It has been said that the service will launch in five countries including Canada, the US, and the UK.
