Zoom has released its updated Mac app for Apple Silicon computers, meaning native support for M1 is now available for download (via 9to5Mac).
This means your Apple Silicon MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini will get native support for the video conferencing app, resulting in optimized performance and battery life.
“Support for Apple Silicon processors. Zoom desktop client will better support computers with ARM CPUs. A separate installer is available for download in the Zoom Download Center,” notes Zoom.
You can download Zoom for M1 Macs here. So far the install went fine (check out our screenshot above).
The company’s iPad app was one of the apps of the year in the App Store #becausecovid19.
