Telus-owned Koodo is offering a $55/20GB ‘winback’ plan for former customers, which includes 1,000 international long distance minutes, to go with unlimited Canada-wide minutes.
According to iPhone in Canada reader Stef, he recently switched over to Rogers from Koodo. That’s when Koodo then dropped this ‘winback’ offer for him, which he ended up accepting.
The 1,000 international long distance minutes are good for the United States, India, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Italy, Mexico, Australia and Bangladesh.
Currently, Koodo’s website offers a $70/18GB plan, so this ‘winback’ plan is $15 per month cheaper and includes 2GB of more data per month. Koodo does not offer a 20GB plan, as it’s only available for these sweetheart ‘winback’ deals.
Switching back to Koodo did however get his $45 activation fee waived, noted Stef later in an email. Again, if you recently switched away from Koodo, this might be a ‘winback’ offer heading your way soon.
