
macOS 12 Compatible Devices: All the Macs that Support Apple’s New OS
Today Apple unveiled its successor to macOS Big Sur, unveiling macOS Monterey, also know as macOS 12.
Below is a list of macOS 12 compatible devices that will support macOS Monterey:
- iMac – Late 2015 and later
- Mac Pro – Late 2013 and later
- iMac Pro – 2017 and later
- Mac mini – Late 2014 and later
- MacBook Air – Early 2015 and later
- MacBook – Early 2016 and later
- MacBook Pro – Early 2015 and later
For those following along, some devices got dropped from macOS 12. These devices below won’t support macOS Monterey—but they did support macOS Big Sur:

And so much more,” is how Apple describes macOS Monterey, which is available for download now in beta for developers.
