As Lamborghini celebrates the 50th anniversary of its iconic Countach sports car, the luxury automaker is producing a series of videos involving inspirational personalities who helped shape the landscape of their respective industries.

Featured in the latest set of videos is Apple’s former Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller (via MacRumors).

Schiller, now an Apple Fellow, has a documented passion for design and innovation. “At Apple, we like to exist at the intersection of technology and the liberal arts, and I think that’s a wonderful place to be,” said Schiller during the interview.

“It’s not just enough to make something — you have to make it in a way that has meaning in people’s lives,” he added, noting that a truly successful product must not only have great design but also serve a purpose that resonates with its target audience.

Schiller also took part in an accompanying Q&A video, available on the Lamborghini website. When asked about the project he is most proud of, the Apple Fellow said, “[The] iPod — so much fun, so fast-paced, and it really changed Apple forever.”

Schiller also said that while he would always prefer a combustion engine over an electric car, he is “getting ready for electric”, noting that “the world requires it of us”. He might not have to look too far for an all-electric alternative to gas guzzlers, since Apple has reportedly been working on a self-driving electric car for quite some time now.

Schiller spent 30 years at Apple, crafting the iPhone maker’s global marketing strategies and product design.
