Telus announced on Tuesday its 5G network has expanded in Alberta, now available in Medicine Hat and Brooks.
“Now more than ever, TELUS is committed to keeping Canadians connected, productive and healthy. Indeed, the ongoing expansion of our next-generation 5G technology is bridging time and distance, allowing residents to live and work in any community without compromising productivity or economic opportunity,” said Darren Entwistle, President and CEO, in a statement.
According to Telus, its 5G network is expanding to over 615 communities in Canada by the end of 2021, including 136 in Alberta.
The company says it is investing $14.5 billion in Alberta through 2024, and that funding includes today’s 5G launch in Medicine Hat and Brooks.
