Toronto Parking App ‘Green P’ Now Supports Apple Pay, Google Pay
The Toronto Parking Authority (TPA)’s private label parking app, Green P, has been updated to now support Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Green P, powered by Passport, also debuts a ‘quick park’ feature and a new design as well. Integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay means faster payment options right on your device, as the latter mobile wallets include debit and credit cards you’ve previously added to your device.
“Through modernizing the user interface and introducing new features for our customers, the TPA strives to continue providing a simple, easy and safe way to pay for parking through a contactless method,” said Toronto Parking Authority VP of Business Development Jeffrey Dea, in a statement.
Green P allows residents in Toronto to pay for parking at nearly 45,000 spots across the city. Parking updates are sent to your mobile device, while alerts are also available for Apple Watch users, while parking can also be managed on the web as well.

The Green P parking app launched back in 2016, and ten months after its debut, parking tickets in the city dropped by 29%, as drivers were able to better track parking times and top up parking, on the go.
