Fastest ISP 2022 canada

PCMag recently released its annual list of fastest internet service providers (ISPs) in Canada for 2022, and Telus was named a top pick for the third year in a row.

According to the publication regarding Telus’ win, it said the company “didn’t have to increase its score much year-to-year to ensure a win, but it did so enough that it stayed well ahead of the competition.”

Telus issued a statement on its victory on Thursday. “More than ever, Canadians value a fast, reliable connection, and the consistent recognition from independent, third-party organizations, such as U.S.-based PCMag, reinforces the superiority of TELUS’ world-leading broadband networks,” said Darren Entwistle, President and CEO of TELUS.

As for the winner in the “All ISPs” category, Ontario-based telMAX was the winner, with its 1 Gbps internet offering with unlimited data and no contracts.

Looking at the following chart of the PCMag Speed Index, showing download and upload speeds, Telus ranks first in all three categories. In second place is Bell Canada, followed by Shaw in third and Rogers in fourth. Cogeco, Videotron, Bell Canada DSL and Telus DSL took spots 4 to 8.
