Fido vs Virgin Plus vs Koodo: Best Cellphone Plans – November 2026

Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo cellphone plans

The Big 3 raised their main-brand prices in October, but their flanker brands didn’t follow. We compared current bring-your-own-device plans from Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo against our October roundup, and the advertised prices are the same.

The changes this month are in the small print. Plans below are BYOD after autopay discounts, using BC/Ontario/national headline numbers in CAD per month; Quebec pricing differs.

Fido

  • $45/20GB
  • $50/60GB
  • $55/60GB Canada-US-Mexico (roaming for 12 months; unlimited calls to 27 countries)

Fido’s advertised prices are the same as October, and its $55 plan now lists unlimited international calling to 27 countries. Hotspot is now included on all three plans.

The fine print matters more at Fido this month. Starting November 20, the $5 autopay discount only applies if you pay by bank debit or a Rogers Bank credit card. Existing customers should also check their bills for a second price hike, even though prices for new customers haven’t moved.

Virgin Plus

  • $45/20GB
  • $50/60GB
  • $55/60GB Canada-US-Mexico (unlimited calls to 27 countries)

Virgin Plus had a busy October. It dropped the $45/20GB plan on October 8, then brought it back two days later with a short end date. That plan is still listed at $45 today with no end date. The $55 Canada-US-Mexico plan now includes calling to 27 countries, and the talk-and-text plan is back at $25.

Koodo

  • $40/10GB (Kids plan)
  • $45/20GB
  • $50/60GB
  • $55/60GB Canada-US-Mexico; international calling only for 2 years
  • $60/100GB

Koodo’s prices are unchanged, but the $40/10GB plan is now called a Kids plan instead of a student deal. The $60/100GB bucket is still the only 100GB option among the three flankers. Public Mobile is also pushing a $40/150GB Koodo offer to customers who switch.

After a busy October for the main brands, the flankers are holding steady going into Black Friday in late November. If you need a plan today, Koodo’s 100GB tier is still the best pick for data. Otherwise, it’s worth waiting for holiday promos.
