Public Mobile Extends Sale of $50/60GB Canada/US Roaming Plan

Telus-owned Public Mobile announced on Tuesday it has extended its limited-time sale on its $50/60GB Canada/US 5G plan until the end of the month.

The 60GB plan normally is $65 per month, but on a 90-day subscription, you save $15 per month, taking it down to $50. A comparable flagship 5G Canada/US plan from Rogers, Telus and Bell will cost you at least $95 or $105 per month.

90-day subscriptions with Public Mobile mean you pay upfront for the period, so that works out to $150 and 180GB of data at the start of your cycle. It’s up to you to manage the 180GB over 90 days.

For snowbirds or those heading south soon, this 60GB Public Mobile plan is your best bet, aside from using eSIM roaming data from services such as Airalo.

Public Mobile also has a $50/40GB Canada/US plan, but the promo offers 20GB more data per month.

This plan includes unlimited data, talk and text in Canada and the USA. Data speeds are up to 250 Mbps and once your data is exhausted, speeds are throttled to 512 Kbps. The usual extras like call display, call waiting, call forwarding and conference calling are included.

Currently there is a $0 charge for an eSIM but $5 for a physical SIM. You get back $3.25 per month in Public Points.

Other promo plans right now from Public Mobile:

  • $40/30GB 5G
  • $45/50GB 5G
  • $34/20GB 4G

The 60GB promo plan is available for new and existing customers, so if you’re on a Public Mobile plan that costs the same $50 per month, it may be worth switching over to the new plan to get US roaming data included.
