Netflix Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Fight Delayed Until November

The eagerly awaited Netflix special heavyweight fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has been rescheduled to Friday, November 15, 2024, which means it’s no longer happening on July 20. The boxing spectacle will be streamed live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Tyson experienced a recent ulcer flare-up and was thankful to organizers and his medical team. “Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties,” said Tyson.
“While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out,” said ‘Iron Mike’.
“Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, calling it “the most cross-generational sporting event in history”
Tickets purchased for the original date will be honoured on November 15, and current ticketholders do not need to take any action to retain their seats. Refunds are available until July 8, 2024, for those unable to attend the new date.
The fight was postponed due to Tyson’s health concerns. “I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time,” Tyson told Netflix. “My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon.”
“My fans know I don’t want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake — when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish,” said Paul, whose boxing career has mainly been against washed up fighters aside from boxer Tommy Fury (Paul took the L in that one).
This joke of a fight is going to be fun to watch. ‘Iron Mike’ still is a beast despite being set to turn 58 years old on June 30. He’s going to get paid handsomely for this fight. Let’s hope he sticks to his word and knocks Paul out.
