Apple today at its WWDC keynote unveiled ‘Apple Intelligence’, which brings generative AI models to power Mac, iPad and iPhone.

Apple Intelligence bring a tonne of new AI-powered features to devices, and now powers Siri, which gets a new icon and is literally useful and smart, finally. Here are some features you can ask Siri, which can understand context:

  • Open “Good Material”
  • Search Fitness+ for new yoga classes
  • Bring up the article about cicadas from my Reading List
  • Show me a memory of our trip to Portugal
  • Add a new page to this doc
  • Add this photo to the email I drafted to Madiha and Josh
  • Show me the latest episode of Today, Explained
  • Send the schedule for Saturday
  • Create a new Freeform board called “Baby Room”
  • Show me the price of AAPL
  • Send this article to Sophie and Nidhi
  • I need to scan a document

Moreover, Siri can bring you information based on questions you ask, as it can search your email, Messages and more. This is going to make your iPhone far more convenient to use.

However, for on-device processing of Apple Intelligence it will require an iPhone 15 Pro or newer and M1 chip or newer. Expect more details shortly and how older devices will be affected by this limitation.

An improved Siri is just one feature of Apple Intelligence, which can re-write text, summarize info, create images, customized emoji for you and more.

Here are highlighted features of Apple Intelligence shared by Apple today at its WWDC keynote:

  • A more personal Siri
  • Private Cloud Compute
  • Clean Up in Photos
  • Summaries in Messages
  • Reduce Interruptions in Focus
  • Writing Tools
  • Create a Memory Movie
  • Image Playground
  • Image Wind
  • Audio recording summaries
  • Priority messages in Mail
  • Priority notifications
  • Gemojis
  • Natural language text translation

…developing, more to follow
