Apple has unveiled iOS 18 bringing new features to the iPhone, bringing more customization than ever before, as announced at WWDC.
As rumoured, you can now edit and customize Home Screen app icons with colours and now Dark Mode. You can also order icons in any way you like on the grid, so you can have apps around your background wallpaper for example.
Control Center gets pages of controls and now developers can add controls as well, thanks to a new API.
The Lockscreen can now let you customize the bottom two shortcuts. Say good-bye to just the flashlight and camera!
Also new is the ability to lock apps and have a locked folder for apps.
You can now also schedule messages, while there’s now Messages via Satellite to text friends and family when off the grid (from iPhone 14 or newer). There’s now also new text effects jitter, shake, and bounce. You can also bold, underline and italicize text.
