On Saturday, June 22nd, Apple The Exchange TRX, the first Apple Store in Malaysia, is set to open its doors to customers. Ahead of the grand opening, Apple has previewed the new retail location.
Apple The Exchange has been built in Kuala Lumpur, within the new Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) central business district. In a press release, the company explained that the new Apple Store aims to “deliver the magic of Apple in the country like never before.” We also got a look at the interior of the store and the layout.
Apple The Exchange TRX is said to employ “more than 160 team members” who are all ready to assist customers as they shop for the latest products. On top of that, customers will be able to take part in free in-store sessions through Today at Apple. The company goes on to claim that Apple The Exchange TRX “will be an inspiring hub for education.”
A special Today at Apple series dubbed “Jom Discover” is taking place from Saturday, June 22, through Saturday, July 6. This series includes:
Apple continues to highlight that Apple The Exchange TRX is built to connect the mall’s central atrium to a lush rooftop park. This wraps around the store’s upper level. The roof consists of horizontal glass panels and shading blades not only to emit a warm glow at night but also to reduce the sun’s rays. Its interiors include natural stone walls, polished stainless steel columns and light terrazzo floors. The retail location runs on 100 percent renewable energy and is carbon neutral.
“We live for moments when we can surprise and delight our customers, and we’re excited to do that in Malaysia with the opening of our first store in the country, Apple The Exchange TRX,” Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail said in the press release.
According to the Apple website, the grand opening is taking place at 10AM MYT on Saturday, June 22nd. The retail store is located at L1.40 The Exchange TRX, Persian TRX, Tun Razak Exchange.
