Xbox Coming to Amazon Fire TV, Game Pass Ultimate and Cloud Gaming Enabled

Microsoft and Amazon are partnering to bring Xbox Game Pass and cloud gaming to select Fire TV products. In Canada and 24 other global markets, players can jump into their favourite Xbox games without the need of a console.

As announced by Xbox, the two companies will be supporting Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which offers a diverse and growing catalogue of games. This includes hit games such as Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Starfield, and Forza Horizon 5. Plus, given the relationship with Amazon, those who sink their teeth into the Prime Video Fallout series can go on to experience games such as Fallout 76 and Fallout 4.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be available on Fire TV Stick 4K Max as well as the Fire TV Stick 4K. Alongside the Fire TV device, players will only require an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership and a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller. This includes Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, or DualShock 4. Once available, users can install and sign into the Xbox app on the Fire TV device.

Xbox Cloud Gaming offers easy access to beloved games without the need for an install. Using the cloud, players can pick up their progress from a range of compatible devices such as Xbox Series consoles, smartphones, tablets, PCs, and handhelds. With the introduction of Amazon Fire TV Stick support, players can take the device with them while travelling and always have a device to play Xbox games on whether it be a hotel, cottage, or even another room in the house.

In Canada, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is available for $18.99 per month.
