EcoFlow’s DELTA Gen4 Arrives in Canada With a Clever Battery Trick

EcoFlow DELTA Gen4 portable power station

EcoFlow has launched its DELTA Gen4 and RIVER Gen4 portable power stations in Canada, with the DELTA 3000 Gen4 starting at $1,699 CAD in early-bird pricing. The lineup follows the company’s larger DELTA Pro Ultra X we went hands-on with in March. These units will also soon hit Amazon.ca.

The DELTA 3000 Gen4 and DELTA 3800 Gen4 target home backup in winter storms. Both deliver 3,600W rated output and 7,200W surge, which EcoFlow says covers most household appliances. Specs in brief:

EcoFlow says idle draw is 14W with AC on and 3W in standby. Fridge Runtime Boost can keep a fridge running up to 58 hours on the 3000 and 70 hours on the 3800, per the company. New Emergency Power Mode holds a DC reserve after the display hits 0 per cent, enough that EcoFlow says the 3000 can charge an iPhone 17 past 80 per cent. Both offer a 10ms UPS switchover.

The smaller RIVER 260 Gen4 (256Wh, 300W, 6.6 lb) and RIVER 520 Gen4 (512Wh, 500W, 10.1 lb) suit camping and cottage use. Each charges by AC, USB-C, solar or car alternator, hits 0–80 per cent in as little as 42 or 50 minutes, and includes a 140W bidirectional USB-C port plus Emergency Power Mode.

DELTA Gen4 early-bird pricing is $1,699 CAD and $2,499 CAD on EcoFlow’s Canadian site, with deliveries expected end of November. RIVER pricing is TBA; the 260 opens for pre-sale November 24 and the 520 in late December. Watch for them on Amazon.ca as stock lands.
