Apple Vision Pro to Debut Immersive Films, 3D Video Series on July 18
Starting July 18, Apple Vision Pro users will have access to an array of new series and films, all captured using Apple Immersive Video technology.

According to Apple, this innovative new format utilizes 3D video recorded in 8K with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio, providing viewers with an unparalleled sense of realism and immersion.
The new offerings include “Boundless,” a series that transports viewers to extraordinary destinations from the comfort of their homes. Premiering at 6 p.m. PT on July 18 with the episode “Hot Air Balloons,” the series will continue with “Arctic Surfing” in the fall, taking viewers on an icy adventure north of the Arctic Circle.

In August, the second installment of the nature documentary series “Wild Life” will be released, showcasing the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, where orphaned elephants thrive under the care of their keepers.
Later in the year, the series will dive deep into the waters of the Bahamas, bringing viewers face-to-face with apex predators and other fascinating marine life.
“Elevated,” an aerial travel series set to premiere in September, will take viewers on a breathtaking journey over volcanoes, waterfalls, and other natural wonders in Hawaii. Subsequent episodes will feature the stunning autumn landscapes of New England.
Music enthusiasts can look forward to an immersive experience featuring The Weeknd, set to premiere exclusively on Apple Vision Pro later this year.
Additionally, the first scripted short film captured in Apple Immersive Video, “Submerged,” will debut this fall. Written and directed by Academy Award winner Edward Berger, the World War II action-adventure film immerses viewers in the harrowing experience of sailors aboard a submarine during a torpedo attack.

Basketball fans will get an up-close and personal view of the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis through an immersive short film.
This unique experience will feature the Rising Stars game, the Slam Dunk contest, and the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-Point Challenge with stars like Sabrina Ionescu and Stephen Curry, culminating in the All-Star Game itself.
In collaboration with Red Bull, Apple will release “Big-Wave Surfing,” which follows elite surfers as they tackle the world’s most challenging waves off the coast of Teahupo’o, Tahiti. Filming for this intense sports series is underway and is expected to be available later this year.
Apple Vision Pro users can expect more series, films, concerts, and sports events captured in Apple Immersive Video to be released throughout the year.
