Apple TV+ Renews Hit Sci-Fi Series “Dark Matter” for Season 2
Apple TV+ has officially renewed its critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller “Dark Matter” for a second season, following the nail-biting conclusion of season one

The show, which has quickly become a fan favorite, has been praised for its top-tier storytelling, intense action, and thought-provoking exploration of the multiverse.
Dark Matter stars an impressive ensemble led by Joel Edgerton and Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly. With the entire first season now available for streaming, fans can prepare for more mind-bending adventures in the highly anticipated second season.
“Thank you to everyone who tuned in for season one — whether you’re a fan of the book or discovering the story for the first time,” said Blake Crouch, the creative force behind Dark Matter and author of the original novel.
He also teased that the journey is far from over. “While writing and filming season one, we realized there’s so much more to explore. We’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of these characters and their fight for survival across mind-bending realities. See you in the Box!”
The show follows Jason Dessen, portrayed by Joel Edgerton, a physicist and professor whose life takes a dramatic turn when he’s abducted into an alternate version of his existence.
As he navigates a labyrinth of alternate realities, Jason embarks on a harrowing quest to return to his original life and save his family from a terrifying, unbeatable foe: another version of himself.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series has drawn widespread acclaim for its intelligent storytelling and complex characters. With season two now confirmed, fans can look forward to more intense action and mind-bending revelations.
Apple TV+ is available in Canada for $12.99 per month.
