Fido Giving 20GB Data Bonus to Some, But You Need to Opt In

Rogers-owned Fido is feeling generous yet again, doling out a 20GB data bonus to select customers.
After logging into your online account, Fido’s “exclusive offer” is to thank existing users for being a customer. “We think you deserve more so we’re giving you more data for free!”, explains Fido, which says the bonus data will be added to your current plan today, at “no added cost, no new contract, no kidding!”.
You do need to click “Get this offer” in order to obtain the 20GB bonus data. Fido alerted customers by text message about the offer, with one RFD user saying they were on a $34/month plan.
If you’re a Fido customer, you may want to log into your account and see if any data bonuses are available. Why the freebie? Increasing a customer’s data bucket can lower the cost of overall data, while also retaining customers before expected Black Friday deals in November.
Did you get a text message from Fido about a bonus data offer? Back in June, we heard of Fido giving out the same 20GB data bonus, so it’s clear this is a bonus that is given out periodically to targeted customers.

I got a txt from Rogers yesterday for additional 30GB data free opt in for 24 months. Had to be claimed by logging into Rogers account.
Oh nice! Are you able to email a screenshot to ti**@************da.ca? thanks!
No need. You can see the screenshots on the following reddit post. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rogers/comments/1exgwit/comment/lj8j2hw/
thanks Wm!
Nope, they don’t give me free bonus GB now, lately I get the bonus GB if I pay extra. For example 20GB bonus data for $5, but Fido calls it a “bonus” not an add-on.
