Sonos Opens Public Trello Board so You Can Follow App Fixes

As Sonos continues to work on fixing its new app, the company has opened up a public Trello board so users can follow its progress.
As first reported by The Verge, the Trello board is open to the public so eager users can see which fixes are being prioritized. Earlier, Sonos also opened a thread on Reddit, announcing the new Trello board.
According to u/KeithFromSonos, an employee of the company, the board is open so users can be “kept in the loop about our progress on the path to a normal core app experience.”
Looking at the Trello board itself, we can see Sonos break down aspects of ‘What we’re hearing & working on’. In this column, it appears as though Sonos is seeing the reception of ‘System Not Found’ issues and browsing latency. Volume responsiveness and add product success rates are also being looked at.
As far as fixes and improvements that are “coming soon,” Sonos’ Trello board shows that iOS 18 Trueplay support is in the works. UI improvements based on customer feedback as well as an individual delete in queue feature. Other improvements that are on the Sonos roadmap include full queue editing as well as playlist editing.
Recently, Sonos was looking into the possibility of releasing its S2 app again, rolling users back into the more stable software. However, Sonos CEO Patrick Spence later admitted that it would only make things worse as it turns out.
In May, Sonos launched the current app experience as a way to introduce the new interface and sync features between its recent Ace headphones and the Sonos Arc soundbar. The new app, unfortunately, lacked core features and is still ripe with bugs and stability. Spence earlier said, “I will not rest until we’ve addressed these issues and have customers raving about Sonos again.”
