SpaceX has launched a promo for its Starlink hardware in Canada, slashing its latest 3rd-generation hardware down to $199 CAD, saving you $300 off the regular price of $499, “for a limited time”.
This discount is available Canada-wide for the Starlink Standard Kit, which includes the dish you just point at the sky and its Gen 3 router.
Aside from the $199 initial hardware cost, a residential monthly plan for Starlink is $140 per month. Starlink internet is targeted towards those living in rural areas where high speed internet is unavailable, or in limited capacity and expensive.
Previously, we saw Starlink launch a $99 hardware promo in Canada, but only in select locations. Starlink is also going to be on WestJet flights as well for in-flight internet. As of this summer, Starlink said there are over 400,000 customers in Canada using the satellite internet service.
This latest Starlink Standard Kit is also on sale at Costco warehouses in Canada for $199.99, but also includes a $90 service credit. Look for item number 1902594, as the hardware is limited to one per Costco member. The sale at Costco is until September 23, 2024, and is available nationwide.
