Apple Reported to be Launching M4 Macs in November

Apple is reportedly looking to announce its new M4 Mac devices this November, bringing newly powered M4-powered devices to the market soon after.

According to information sourced by those familiar with the matter, MacRumors first reported that Apple is looking to launch new Mac products later this year. Following the excitement of the iPhone 16 in September, M4-series Macs are believed to be launching in November.

Last year, Apple held its ‘Scary Fast’ event on October 30th. The Halloween-inspired event was used to detail the M3 chipset alongside new Mac devices that would take advantage of the power and performance innovations. M3-series devices soon launched on November 7th. While the timing of a late October event does provide some inconsistencies with the recent news, a November launch for M4 devices could very well still be in the cards for Apple.

Last week, it was reported that M4-powered MacBook Pros were entering mass production. It’s believed that Apple is launching four M4 Mac devices, including a new 14 and 16-inch Mac Book Pro. Users can likely expect to see M4 Pro and M4 Max SKUs of the device. A new iMac featuring the M4 chipset alongside a redesigned Mac mini is also likely to hit the market.

The M4 chipset first debuted earlier this year when Apple launched the new iPad Pro. M4 brought up to 25 percent multi-core CPU performance when compared to the M3 chip. The new processor also features four times the GPU performance over the M2.
