‘A Minecraft Movie’ is Coming in 2025, Here’s the Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the release of “A Minecraft Movie,” the first-ever live-action adaptation of the popular video game Minecraft. Parents, get ready to be dragged through this with the kiddos.
Directed by Jared Hess, the film stars Jason Momoa (he looks disturbing in the film), Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Jennifer Coolidge, bringing the pixelated world of Minecraft to life on the big screen.
The story follows four misfits—Garrett, Henry, Natalie, and Dawn—who are pulled through a portal into Minecraft’s Overworld, a cubic world thriving on creativity. To return home, they must master the game’s challenges, protect the world from dangers like Piglins and Zombies, and rely on the unexpected help of expert crafter Steve, played by Black.
Produced by Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, and others, the film features a creative team including BAFTA-nominated cinematographer Enrique Chediak and Oscar-winning production designer Grant Major.
“A Minecraft Movie” will be released in theatres and IMAX in North America on April 4, 2025, with international releases starting April 2, 2025. Who’s excited for this?
