SaskTel Expands infiNET Internet to Six More Rural Communities

SaskTel has announced the launch of its infiNET service in Assiniboia, Coronach, Davidson, Dundurn, Kyle, and Osler, bringing its fastest internet speeds to these communities.
The infiNET service delivers speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second, which can be a big change for residents to work, learn, and get online.
“The deployment of world-class 5G and fibre optic broadband networks to communities across Saskatchewan is creating new opportunities in sectors like healthcare, education, and agriculture,” said Terry Jenson, Minister of SaskBuilds and Procurement, in an issued statement on Wednesday to iPhone in Canada.
“SaskTel’s investments to bring reliable, high-speed internet services to homes and businesses in all corners of our province will build strong, vibrant communities for many years to come.”
SaskTel’s infiNET network, now available in nearly 70 communities, is the province’s largest fibre optic broadband network.
The expansion is part of SaskTel’s $280 million Rural Fibre Initiative, aiming to reach nearly 85% of Saskatchewan households and businesses. The deployment in Coronach was made possible through a partnership with South Saskatchewan Ready and funding from Prairies Economic Development Canada.
