Telus-owned Public Mobile has tweaked its plans again, this time adding long distance minutes to more plans.
Here is the Public Mobile plan lineup:
You can see the $35/60GB plan has axed the “10GB data bonus” jargon and now just notes it is 60GB total, instead of the original 50GB plus the 10GB bonus. It has gained 100 monthly long-distance minutes to China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
The $39/50GB 5G Canada/USA plan has added 250 monthly long-distance minutes to the same destinations. This plan is now also showing in BC, and not just only in Ontario.
Public Mobile looks to be targeting a certain subset to offer long distance calling originating from Canada. Let’s wait for Black Friday in November to see even better cellphone deals. Hold out until then if you can.
