The first iPhone 16 series pre-orders have reached the ‘Preparing to Ship’ phase, with notifications being sent out on Saturday, one day after pre-orders.
According to some iPhone in Canada readers, they have received notification their iPhone 16 pre-orders are ready to be delivered by the September 20 launch date.
Besides being notified of an iPhone 16 Pro Max in 256GB getting ready to ship, an Apple Watch Ultra 2 pre-order is also at this stage. For those with UPS My Choice accounts, you can already see tracking numbers available, showing packages are in Kunshan City, China (west of Shanghai). From here, they should reach a UPS facility in Shanghai next, then to UPS operations in Anchorage, Alaska.
How to find your UPS tracking number? Follow these steps like last year.
Looking at Apple.ca, all iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max configurations are not available on launch day anymore for our area. iPhone 16 Pro Max estimated delivery dates are October 16-22, while iPhone 16 Pro are Oct 2-4 or 6-8, depending on configuration.
Surprisingly, no estimated delivery dates have reached November yet. As for why? Apple might have suppliers more than ready this year, or demand isn’t as high as expected, since the changes this year again were minimal. Next year’s iPhone 17 series is supposed to have a major refresh.
