Several Rogers Yahoo! email users have reported issues after upgrading to iOS 18, with problems emerging in Apple’s native Mail app.

Users are encountering difficulties fetching new mail and sending emails, which often get stuck in the outbox, explained numerous iPhone in Canada readers.

A common fix for these issues has been to remove and re-add the Yahoo! account in the Mail app. However, after the iOS 18 update, some users are no longer able to re-add their Rogers Yahoo! accounts. They are redirected to a blank page at rogersmembercentre.com, preventing them from entering their credentials. If this page was actually loading, then Rogers customers would be able to enter their login details it seems.

There could be issues with the APIs involved. Even when trying to manually add the account by entering the server details instead of selecting Yahoo!, the problem persists.

Some users have turned to the Yahoo! Mail app as a workaround, but the issue persists on multiple devices. Despite functioning briefly on iPads, affected users are now seeing problems across both iPhone and iPad.

Those that contacted Apple Support, were told to contact Rogers to check for any changes on their email servers.

Again, for people who have been using Rogers Yahoo! emails for a while, not being able to fetch and send emails using the native Apple Mail app is a major pain after upgrading to iOS 18.

Back in 2017, Rogers shared how Mac users running OS X Yosemite 10.10 could get their Yahoo! email working with Apple’s Mail app on Macs. Users had to generate a one-time app password from rogersmembercenter.com, which you then paste into Mail setting on the Mac. This seems like it could be the same issue, but that website is not loading for Rogers customers using the included email service.

This might be the time for Rogers customers using Yahoo! emails to switch over to Gmail, then their email won’t be tied to Rogers at all if they decide to switch internet providers.

These issues have been around for years with MacOS. You can’t use Roger’s email on MacOS mail and it’s got to the point where on my MacBook I use the outlook mail client now and the Roger’s emails go through fine on it. If this is now becoming an issue on iOS devices I seriously might consider just stop using my rogers email altogether or changing my default mail client to outlook. Currently it seems to be working for me but I wonder how long

Roger’s basically told me they have no plans fixing it on the Mac so this might be a SERIOUS red flag.
