You Can Now Buy Google’s TV Streamer 4K in Canada

You can now buy the Google TV Streamer 4K in Canada, after it was first announced last month. The streaming device offers 4K HDR streaming with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

The Google TV Streamer features a faster processor, bringing a 22% increase in speed for smoother app navigation and quicker switching between services, while comes with 32GB of storage to let you install lots of your favourite apps. It also has 4GB of RAM, double than before.

Smart home control is simplified through a new home panel, allowing users to dim lights or manage other devices without interrupting their viewing experience. The device also includes an Ethernet port for a direct connection for those seeking direct internet connections.

The simplified Google TV Streamer design blends with any decor and is made with 65% recycled plastic. Users can easily locate a lost remote by pressing a button on the streamer or asking Google to make the remote ring, which is always handy (Apple, wake up). There are shortcut buttons for YouTube and Netflix right on the remote.

The device also supports audio integration, allowing users to pair it with Nest speakers or Pixel Buds. It also features built-in Thread and Matter support for improved smart home connectivity and the ability to display Google Photos on the TV.

Setting up the Google TV Streamer is straightforward, as all you need is an HDMI 2.1 cable (not included) and the Google Home app.

You can buy the Google TV Streamer from the Google’s website today for $129.99 in Canada, with delivery showing for mid-October to B.C.

Now that these competing streamers have gotten more expensive (but still worse), and the Apple TV has gone down in price, it’s an even better buy than ever!
