Apple Explains How to Clean Your Disgusting AirPods [VIDEO]

Apple has released new video tutorials on YouTube demonstrating how to properly clean the meshes on AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 3 and later using micellar water and a soft-bristled kids’ toothbrush.

Micellar water is a gentle, no-rinse cleanser that removes makeup, dirt, and oil using tiny micelle molecules, which makes it an ideal choice to clean your AirPods that are likely full of ear wax and other hideous, unspeakable things from your ears.

The videos outline the step-by-step process, recommending users have micellar water (with PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides), distilled water, a soft-bristled children’s toothbrush, two small cups, and a paper towel on hand.

The tutorial shows how to clean all the meshes on the top and sides of the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 3 or later by brushing them with micellar water three times, followed by rinsing them with distilled water.

Apple says to let your AirPods dry for at least two hours before using or placing them in the charging case. On a side note, maybe clean out your ears once in a while and take a shower while you’re at it, for the sake of your AirPods.
