iPad mini 7 Now Available in Canada, Starting from $679

Following its reveal earlier this month, Apple is launching its new refreshed iPad mini in Canada and other global markets.

Starting today, the iPad mini 7 is available, starting at $679. The new device is available now following a brief preorder window so online orders can be placed for same-day or next-day pickups at an Apple Store. Customers can also expect online orders to ship as early as today as well.

The new iPad mini 7 is powered by the A17 Pro chipset from Apple. Using the processor, Apple’s latest mini tablet will leverage Apple Intelligence. The A17 Pro chip is promised to offer up to 30 percent faster CPU performance and a 25 percent improvement to the GPU’s power when compared to the 2021 model. The Neural Engine is also claimed to be twice as fast thanks to the upgrade from Apple’s A15 Bionic chip.

Other notable features include a base storage capacity of 128GB, doubling that of previous models. It also supports a USB-C input. The cellular option includes sub-6GHz 5G support and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. There’s also a 12MP camera on the rear of the device, featuring Smart HDR 4 and machine learning capabilities to scan documents within the Camera app.

Recently, reviews of the iPad mini 7 went live with a mixed assortment of perspectives. The device has been called the “best iPad mini yet” while other reviews claim that it’s a safer upgrade apart from the new chipset.
