Public Mobile Launches 100GB Canada-US Roaming Plan

Telus-owned Public Mobile looks to be stepping up its Canada-US plans, launching a new $49/100GB plan today.
This 100GB plan is at 4G speeds and not 5G, and also includes 1,000 international minutes. You get to use your talk, text and data while in Canada and the USA.
Here are Public Mobile’s plans as of November 7:
- $19/1GB 4G
- $23/6GB 4G
- $30/20GB 4G Canada-US + 100 international minutes
- $35/50GB 4G Canada-US + 100 international minutes
- $36/50GB 5G Canada-US + 250 international minutes
- $45/65GB 5G Canada-US + 1000 international minutes
- $49/100GB 5G Canada-US + 1000 international minutes
Public Mobile doesn’t limit this plan to new activations, unlike its $36/50GB 5G plan. There’s no expiry date listed for the 100GB plan yet either.
For reference, Freedom Mobile has a $45/75GB Canada-US-Mexico plan, and a $55/100GB Canada-US-Mexico plan, with both at 5G and also with Roam Beyond options.
Black Friday is coming at the end of November. We may see better deals. You may want to hold the line if you can.

Until Freedom Mobile sort out their own network / Nationwide network roaming issue, they will not be an option for me. The moment I leave any urban area (and even sometimes in a city) you start roaming. On Vancouver Island roaming does not even connect at LTE, meaning you can make calls but not use the web.
Had the same issue outside Vancouver whilst travelling to Whistler. Useless network outside city centres.
Love Public Mobile. With a 4G phone I was a little annoyed… As soon as I got a 5G phone it's been amazing! Canada and in the USA. You need a 5G phone for sure. $34 CANADA-USA. Amazing!
As a senior now 76 these phones with huge GB offer me learning that I never got in school and was impossible when work demanded so many hours in the day.
Being retired and understanding & learning things with feedback telling me why I maybe wrong has enriched my life.
If you are with PM you may as well deal with telus. You'll get a better deal. Not that they are any more reputable.
I'm in AZ now. Purchased US roaming and all I can do is text. Making calls is a total failure. My wife is using a Freedom phone for $10 /month. It worked to call the shuttle at the Phoenix airport.
bye PM
