Fizz Rolls Out eSIM Support—But Not For Everyone

Videotron’s wireless subsidiary, Fizz, has launched support for eSIM, which are electronic SIMs built into the latest iPhone and Android smartphones.
Right now, eSIM is available only for new customers activating a Fizz mobile plan. A Fizz spokesperson told iPhone in Canada it launched eSIM support on December 2, 2024.
The Fizz spokesperson further explained to us that eSIM will “soon be available” for existing customers. They will be able to swap from physical SIM cards to eSIM, swap a Fizz eSIM to a new eSIM and also transfer an eSIM from one phone to another.
In order to use and activate eSIM, you’ll need a compatible phone and internet access.
For iPhone users, eSIM is available on an iPhone XS and iPhone XR and newer. Apple has yet to update its wireless carriers page to add Fizz (Videotron) to the list of carriers that support eSIM, but that should change soon.

FWIW, eSIM's are Embedded SIM's. The e stands for embedded, not eletronic.
Good news! Does it mean Vidéotron is getting eSims soon?
And does that mean Apple Watch support for Videotron and Fizz soon? Now that would be quite exciting!
Weird is Fizz on Freedom outside of Quebec?
Yes and on other carriers where Freedom does not have towers. It's a MVNO.
