Freedom Mobile has updated its wireless plans in Manitoba, bringing the province much closer to the Total Freedom lineup offered in B.C., Alberta and Ontario. Several plans on Freedom’s Manitoba plans page now carry a “NEW!” label, starting with 125GB for $40 per month.

The telecom responded to iPhone in Canada in a statement on Thursday, confirming the change took effect today, October 22. The carrier says lining up Manitoba plans with its other markets is part of its preparations to switch on its own wireless network in the province, and that it will have more to share soon.

Here are Freedom Mobile’s current bring-your-own-phone plans in Manitoba (prices include the $5/month Digital Discount, and plans from $40 and up include a $5/month ongoing credit):

For comparison, here’s Freedom Mobile pricing in B.C. and Ontario right now:

Manitoba doesn’t get the $40/95GB plan, but its 125GB and higher plans come in $5 cheaper than in B.C. and Ontario once the ongoing credit is applied. To get the full price, you need Auto Pay for the Digital Discount, and the $5 credit applies when you activate a new line, switch plans or upgrade your phone on an eligible plan. All plans include unlimited talk and text in Canada and 120+ destinations, and they’re covered by Freedom’s Price Freeze Promise.

The new lineup is a big jump from the Manitoba plans we covered in February 2025, when the province topped out at 60GB. It also comes almost a year after Freedom said it would build its own Manitoba network in 2026, starting in Winnipeg. According to Freedom’s announcement, the company has spent more than $35 million on wireless spectrum in the province, and its sister brand Fizz will also use the network.

In July, Freedom enabled 5G+ access on all of its plans at no extra cost for customers with a compatible phone and SIM card. It’s also winding down its 3G network, with service in Quebec and the Ottawa-Gatineau region ending on November 3. Manitoba’s 3G shutdown was completed at the end of last year.
