Xbox Announces Changes to Game Pass Quests and Rewards

Microsoft has announced it’s kicking off the new year with updates tor its Quests and Rewards program. Across Xbox and PC, Game Pass Quests are being reimagined with daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

As announced on the Xbox Wire, Game Pass Quests are being “reimagined.” To make them easier to use, Quests now offer daily, weekly, and monthly opprotunities to gain Reward points. For isntance, you can earn 10 points a day by playing any game off the Game Pass library for 15 minutes. By playing for five days a week, you can earn a weekly stream. Combine this over consecutive weeks to maintain a point multiplyer of up to 4x. Monthly Quests include playing up to eight different games (for 15 minutes each) every calendar month.

To coincide with the latest update, Game Pass Quests are making their way to PC. Starting on January 7, PC Game Pass members can start to earn Rewards on PC alongside console and mobile. To do so, explore the new ‘Quests’ tab within your Xbox profile and select ‘Rewards’ this is available across console, and the Xbox app on mobile or PC. As you play games via Game Pass, you’ll earn Rewards and points to redeem in the Rewards Hub.

Microsoft has also announced that Game Pass Quests are launching in Japan. All users over 18 years old with an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription can begin earning points. The age gate on Game Pass Quests is a new change being made as well. The company states it’s being done to “”ensure our continued commitment to foster positive, age-appropriate gaming experiences for our players to enjoy.”
