Apple’s 2025 Product Roadmap Revealed, According to Insider

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has once again shared what he believes is Apple’s anticipated 2025 product lineup, based on his solid sources and shared within his weekly Sunday PowerOn newsletter.

Gurman shared quite a bit of info regarding each Apple product lineup, so let’s take a gander at what we should expect below…

MacBook Air with M4

Apple plans to refresh its 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models (code-named J713 and J715) with M4 chips, matching the power of the latest MacBook Pro and iMac. Rumours suggest the current M2 models might stick around, ditching M3 Airs instead.

iPhone SE Redesign

The low-cost iPhone SE is getting a major facelift, finally dropping the Home button in favour of Face ID. The new model (code-named V59) may start at a higher price point than its $429 US predecessor and will include Apple’s first in-house modem, an A19 chip, and a single-lens camera.

iPads Line Gets Upgraded

  • A low-end iPad (J481, J482) will feature an A17 Pro chip and 8GB RAM for enhanced Apple Intelligence features.
  • New iPad Air models (J607, J608, J637, J638) are rumoured to get an M4 chip, bringing them closer to the iPad Pro in performance.
  • Expect lower-tier iPad Magic Keyboards (R307, R308) coming

Smart Home Hub

Apple’s rumoured Smart Home Hub, featuring a 7-inch screen running Pebble OS, is now expected to launch later than the planned March 2025 debut.

Mac Studio with M4

The Mac Studio will get a refresh, replacing its M2 Ultra chip with the more powerful M4 Max and M4 Ultra.

Apple Watch SE and More

  • Apple Watch SE is set for a design update.
  • Series 11 and Ultra 3 will remain largely unchanged but may introduce satellite connectivity and 5G RedCap network access.
  • High blood pressure monitoring is rumoured for Ultra and Series models.

iPhone 17: New Designs, Finally

The iPhone 17 lineup (including Pro and Pro Max) is expected to feature new designs (this should please Mark Zuckerberg, right?). Rumours suggest an iPhone 17 Air with Apple’s first in-house modem, codenamed Sinope, will debut alongside the next SE.

MacBook Pro and Mac Pro

  • MacBook Pro models could get M5 chips, maintaining their current design until a major revamp in 2026 for the lineup’s 20th anniversary.
  • A new Mac Pro with a high-end Hidra chip is also in the works, though its release date is unclear.

AirTag 2 and HomePod Mini Refresh

Vision Pro (keep waiting for an update)

The Vision Pro remains unchanged for now, but whispers suggest a reveal ahead of the rumoured Vision Pro 2 in 2026 with an M5 chip. Development of a lower-cost Vision Pro (code-named N107) is ramping up.

And of course, all of these hardware upgrades are meant to support Apple Intelligence, which requires at least 8GB of RAM and more processing power. The schedule seems lined up to prepare all of these new devices to be ready to engage with the new revamped Siri, that we are all still waiting for.

What are you looking forward to the most from Apple in 2025? What are you waiting to upgrade?

The Home Hub might be cool, but with Siri still being so stupid it's hard to imagine myself buying it. I have a few HomePods which I use for AirPlay, but Siri can't even turn on a light with 100% reliability.
