Bell Launches Crave + TSN Streaming Bundles: What You Need to Know

Bell Media has launched new subscription bundles that combine Crave with TSN or RDS, offering savings compared to individual subscriptions.
“Combining Crave, TSN, and RDS as new bundle options provides unbeatable value and makes it even easier for viewers to access their favourite hit series, blockbuster movies, and championship sports,” said Kevin Cluett, SVP, Distribution, Out of Home, Direct to Consumer, and Product Platforms, Bell Media, in a statement on Friday.
There are two streaming options available as monthly plans (no yearly pricing available):
- Crave Basic + Sports: Includes Crave and either TSN or RDS for $21.99 per month.
- Crave Premium + Sports: Includes Crave Premium (HBO content and more) and either TSN or RDS for $28.99 per month.
Crave Basic is regularly priced at $9.99/month and Premium is at $22/month. So you’re paying $12 and $6.99 more per month to get TSN or RDS on top, instead of $19.99 per month. That works out to savings of $7.99 and $13 per month, respectively.
Those on Crave Standard plans will have to upgrade or downgrade to either Crave Basic or Premium to get these bundles.
Crave Basic is powered by ads and doesn’t support AirPlay, Roku, PS4 or PS5. Crave Premium offers access to HBO exclusives, blockbuster movies, hit series, and Crave Originals, all ad-free.
It is possible to add STARZ to your Crave subscription still if you subscribe to these bundles.
If you’re currently subscribed to Crave and jump on a bundle, you will be refunded for the unused duration of your existing billing cycle. If you purchase a new bundle, Bell says you will stay on the same billing cycle but pay a prorated amount from your first date of purchase.
TSN and RDS deliver extensive sports coverage, including major championships that are exclusive such as select NHL, NFL, CFL and NBA regional broadcasts and more.
These bundles can be streamed via the Crave, TSN, and RDS apps, as well as through Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Chromecast, and select smart TVs.
You need to download the Crave and TSN and RDS apps separately after you subscribe. Maybe one day, Bell Media will create an all-in-one mobile/entertainment app with 4K video quality (wishful thinking) to consolidate its streaming services. That would be one way to easily promote its channels to all users.

I would rather have an option for ESPN in Canada. TSN is not very good. I when i say ESPN option, I mean a sole ESPN option and not bundled with something i don't want.
There is no ESPN in Canada, it's all through TSN………..
what's the options if you subscribe to your cable TV package?
No mention of TSN+ though
NHL not signing exclusives anymore with licenses. I'd hold tight. I imagine competition is about to get wild. Rogers is buying up content to survive the end of cable tv. But, Prime and Netflix have much deeper pockets and viewership.
