Install Two WhatsApp Accounts on an iPhone? It’s Coming

WhatsApp will soon let iPhone users have multiple accounts logged in on the same device, as spotted by feature tracker WABetaInfo. The service is already testing multi-account support for its iOS app in beta version 25.2.10.70, which recently started rolling out through the TestFlight program.
“This feature allows users to log into WhatsApp through different accounts within the same app, providing a convenient way to manage personal, professional, or other accounts,” WABetaInfo explained.
When adding a new account, users will be able to choose between setting it up as a primary, standalone WhatsApp account or linking to an existing account on another device as a companion — much like how WhatsApp currently handles using the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices.

The feature, once available, will allow users to effortlessly switch between the WhatsApp accounts they’re logged in to (although it might require an app restart, going by the preview available in the beta version). Native multi-account support will eliminate the need to keep multiple devices or use hacky workarounds to run several instances of WhatsApp on the same device.
Notifications, chats, backups, and settings will all be managed separately, with each account operating independently within the same app.
While support for multiple WhatsApp accounts is seemingly coming soon to iOS, there’s no word yet on when it could land for everyone. It isn’t even available to all beta testers as of yet. WhatsApp is also testing multi-account support on Android, starting with beta version 2.23.17.8.
In a similar vein, WhatsApp maker Meta last week started rolling out the ability to cross-post WhatsApp Status updates to Facebook and Instagram Stories. WhatsApp recently also debuted transcripts for voice messages.
