Sony to Phase Out PS4 Games from PlayStation Plus: Here’s When

Sony’s PlayStation Plus service is bringing three new games to its February lineup. These games will be available from February 4 to March 3 for all PlayStation Plus members.
February 2025 PlayStation Plus Games
- Payday 3 (PS5)
- High on Life (PS4, PS5)
- Pac-Man World Re-Pac (PS4, PS5)
That’s not a big or impressive update for February, just three titles.
As for January games, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe will leave PlayStation Plus on February 3, so download them while you still can.
PlayStation Plus Shifting to PS5 Games Only
Now that you know the new games coming to PlayStation Plus in February 2025, there’s now some bad news for PS4 games. Sony says starting in January 2026, PlayStation Plus will prioritize PS5 games, meaning PS4 games will no longer be a regular benefit of the Monthly Games or Game Catalog.
PS4 games will still be available occasionally but will no longer be the main focus. Already redeemed PS4 games will remain playable as long as you stay subscribed (of course).
Existing PS4 titles in the Game Catalog will be available until they are removed in future updates. What does this mean? It seems Sony is pushing everyone to get a PS5 if they want to maximize their PlayStation Plus subscription.
What’s the reason for the change? Sony says most players have moved to the PS5. How do you feel about PS4 games being phased out as a perk?
