Netflix Unveils Massive 2025 Lineup with New Shows, Films, and Games

Netflix has revealed its biggest lineup yet for 2025, featuring new films, TV series, reality shows, live events, and games (the upcoming price increase in Canada will be helping to fund this of course).
At a special event in Los Angeles, Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria highlighted the platform’s commitment to variety, saying, “We can’t just be one thing. We need to be the best version of everything.”
The event, which was live-streamed across 12 countries (including Canada), included appearances from Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Guillermo del Toro, John Mulaney, and the Duffer Brothers. Bajaria also announced that Netflix will introduce live voting for unscripted content, allowing viewers to interact in real-time.
Netflix will continue its push into live events, including a weekly live late-night show with John Mulaney, an expansion of WWE programming, and the return of TUDUM, Netflix’s global fan event.
Meanwhile, fan-favourite series are returning, including Stranger Things (final season), Wednesday (season 2), and Squid Game (final season, debuting June 27, 2025).
Netflix is also expanding its gaming division, with Squid Game: Unleashed on track to become the platform’s most downloaded game ever, and upcoming games based on popular series like Ginny & Georgia and Love is Blind.

In Canada, Netflix announced North of North, a comedy set in an Arctic community, and a Montreal Expos documentary about the team’s controversial departure from the city (yeah, the Expos aren’t coming back).
